Shagamu or Sagamu is a city located in Ogun State, one of the 36 states in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is situated in the southwestern region of the country, and it is approximately an hour's drive northeast of Lagos, the most populous city in Nigeria and a major economic hub in Africa. Shagamu serves as the headquarters of the Shagamu Local Government Area.
